Andrew Frederick Miles was born in Sudbury, Ontario in 1954. He graduated from St. Charles College in Sudbury and went on to receive a Bachelor of Environmental Studies from the University of Waterloo in Ontario in 1976 and a B.Sc. from the University of Alberta in 1988.

Andrew received his CLS commission in 1991 which allowed him to become an affiliate member of the Alberta Land Surveyors’ Association on October 3, 2001 until he received his commission on June 21, 2004. Andrew is currently a member of the ALSA Professional Development Committee.

His twenty-one years in the survey industry includes eighteen years in the Yukon and Northwest Territories and the past three years employed by Stewart, Weir & Co. of Edmonton.

Andrew enjoys golf, coaching soccer, skiing and travelling.
