Clive MacKeen was born in Oshawa, Ontario in 1954. He graduated from St. Mary’s Rural High School in Sherbrooke, Nova Scotia in 1973 and from the Nova Scotia Land Survey Institute in 1976.

Clive was an affiliate member with the Association from March 2006 until he received his commission on March 13, 2009. He has also been a Nova Scotia Land Surveyor since 1979. Clive served as committee member and a zone 4 councilor with the Association of Nova Scotia Land Surveyors as well as serving as president and past-president from 1993 to 1995. He served on the ALSA Public Relations Committee from 2006 to 2008.

Surveying experience includes private practice in Nova Scotia as co-founder and shareholder in the firm, Taylor and MacKeen Surveys Ltd. from 1979-2004. He did contract work in NWT/Nunavut for Native Land Claims, mineral leases and community surveys during 2002-2004. From 2004, he has worked primarily in the oil and gas sector and is currently employed with Northcan Surveys Ltd. of Calgary.

Clive is a past-master of Queen’s Masonic Lodge #34; he is a past member of the Sherbrooke Village Commission and has coached hockey and fastball.

Clive is uncle to Chad L. Taylor, ALS.
