D.A. (Duane) Nichols

Duane Nichols graduated from Grade 12 in 1965 and earned a diploma in survey technology from NAIT in 1971.

Mr. Nichols articled to George Walker and Hugh Impey from 1972 to 1978 and obtained his commission as an Alberta Land Surveyor on July 4, 1978.

He worked with the Alberta Forest Service and NAIT before going into private practice with Walker Newby & Associates and Hosford Impey & Welter. When he received his commission in 1978, he started his own firm, Nichols Land Surveys, and then, in 1981, as Nichols Walker Newby.

Duane Nichols retired as an Alberta Land Surveyor in 1996 to devote his energy and attention to farming in High Prairie on a full-time basis.
