Chris Tucker was born in Drayton Valley, Alberta in December 1963. He graduated from Frank Maddock High School in 1981 and went on to receive a B.Sc. Eng. (Geomatics) from the University of Calgary in 1996.

Articles were served under Con Lenius, ALS from January 1997 to June 2003. Chris received his commission as an Alberta Land Surveyor on June 9, 2003 and also holds designation as a P.Eng.

Chris participated in the ALSA Vision 2000 Committee in 1996 and chairs the Calgary branch of the Canadian Institute of Geomatics.

Surveying experience includes mostly oilfield in northern Alberta, work with terrestrial and airborne lasers hydrographic surveys and surveys in Africa.

Activities outside of his surveying career include flying airplanes and playing golf and hockey.
