D.J. (David) Amantea

David Amantea was born in Calgary in 1977. He graduated from Faith Academy High School in Manila, Philippines in 1995 and went on to receive a B.Sc. from the University of Calgary in 1999.

Robert F. Baker, ALS (Hon. Life) served as David’s principal from May 2006 to February 2009. He received his commission as an Alberta Land Surveyor on February 25, 2009. David has also been a P.Eng. since May 2004.

David is a member of the ALSA Safety Committee. He is also a volunteer firefighter and was a member of Taber Emergency Services from 2005 to 2008.

Surveying experience includes working for two years with Wolf Survey & Mapping as a seismic surveyor; four years with Veritas Geomatics in the oil and gas sector and over three years with his present employer, Brown Okamura & Associates Ltd. of Lethbridge.
