  • Served on Professional Development Committee, 1996-1997 and 1999-2000
  • Employed with All West Surveys Ltd, AMEC Surveys and Midwest Surveys in Edmonton
  • Hobbies include coaching hockey, baseball, wood working, skiing and reading

During the years of putting together of the textbook, The Law and Practice of Land Surveying in Alberta, David McArthur, acting as chairman of the Committee, has been guiding the editor and the authors of this book. For his hard work and dedication to this job he is the recipient of the 2007 ALSA President's Award.
