F. (Francois) Dion

Francois Dion was born in Chicoutimi, Quebec in December 1973. He graduated from Ecole Secondaire Antoine-Brossard in 1991, from College Edouard- Montpetit in 1993 and went on to receive a B.Sc. in Geomatics Sciences from Laval University in Quebec.

Articles were served under Dennis Clayton, ALS (April 2000 to June 2002) and Paul Dixon, ALS from April 2002 until he received his commission on April 15, 2004.

Francois served on the ALSA Standards Committee from 2001 to 2005. He is also president of the Laval University Alumni in Calgary. Francois has worked for a number of surveying firms in Alberta in municipal and oilfield surveying.

Hockey, road cycling, mountain biking, skiing, snowboarding reading and golf are a few of Francois’ favourite pastimes. Francois is presently employed with Allwest Surveys Ltd.
