John Lehners was born in Grande Prairie in June 1963. He graduated from Grande Prairie Composite High in 1981, graduated from the University of Alberta in 1986 with a B.Sc. Civil Engineering, and attended the University of Calgary in the fall of 1991.

Articles were served under Bruce A. Beairsto, ALS. John received his commission as an Alberta Land Surveyor on March 16, 1998.

The topic of the report submitted as part of the qualifying examination was “Preparation of an Area Redevelopment Plan."

Employment experience was primarily in subdivisions, road widenings, and real property reports. John also has some oilfield experience and a considerable amount of planning work.

John is the Chairman of the Peace River Branch of APEGGA and a member of the Rotary Club executive.

Hockey, fastball, and running are a few leisure activities.
