M.G. (Michael) Crape

Michael Crape was born in Murrayville, BC in June 1964. In pursuit of his interests in land and surveying, Michael attended the British Columbia Institute of Technology and received a Diploma of Technology (Surveying) in 1984.

Roy Wilkins, ALS and Bernie McKenna, ALS served as Michael's principals from May 1989 to January 1991. The technical report that Michael submitted as part of the qualifying examination was "Limitation of Actions on Real Property: Adverse Possession." The Alberta Land Surveyors' Association commissioned Michael as an Alberta Land Surveyor on July 4, 1991.

In 1984, Michael worked for Environment 2000 completing hydrographic surveys in British Columbia. From there he joined David H. Burnett where he carried out control surveys in BC until 1985.

Michael then joined McElhanney Land Surveys (Alta.) Ltd. from 1985 to 1986 and again in 1990. From 1986 to 1989 he signed on with J. Stuart Engineering and Surveying. In 1993 Michael established his own firm, Crape Land Surveys Ltd., today known as Crape Geomatics Corporation.

Michael enjoys running and cycling and family.
