  • Arrived in Canada in 1975
  • Graduated from the University of East Africa, and Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio with a B.Sc (Surveying & Photogrammetry) and an M.Sc. (Geodetic Science)
  • Articled to L.R. Newby, ALS from 1975 to 1977
  • Received ALS Commission in July, 1977
  • Member: ACSM, URISA and CISM
  • Served on various ALSA committees including: Planning Committee (1983-1984), Practice Group (1985-1986), Education Committee (1986-1987), Ad Hoc Committee on Land Information Systems (1987-1988)
  • Served as Regional Chairman, Southern Alberta for the ALSA (1984-1986)
  • Secretary-Treasurer (1984-1986) and Chairman (1986-1987) of the Calgary Branch of CISM
  • Member of the Surveying Technology Advisory Committee, SAIT (1985-1988)
  • Member of ALSA Council, 1988-1990
  • Member of Vibrant Speakers' Toastmasters Club
