  • Received B.Sc. Eng. (Survey) from the University of New Brunswick in 1977
  • Articled to the late Gordon E. McLaren, ALS from 1978-1979 and E. Hodge, ALS from 1980-1981
  • Received ALS commission in 1982 and CLS commission in 1980
  • Served as ALSA Auditor, 1987-1988
  • Member, ABSM Technical Liaison Committee (Cadastral Mapping), NAIT Survey Advisory Committee
  • Chairman, Town of Stony Plain Recreation Board
  • Member, Board or Management of Stony Plain Golf Course
  • Member, APEGGA, CISM
  • Involved in subdivision, condominium and control surveys as party chief and supervisor from 1977 to 1982;
  • Survey engineering supervising field crews involved in control, legal and quality control surveys in BC from 1982 to 1983
  • Operations manager in Lethbridge from 1983 to 1985; all of the foregoing in the employ of McElhanney Surveys
  • Employed as city surveyor with the City of Edmonton to 1999
  • Employed with Precision Geomatics, 1999-
