  • Chairman of Convention Committee from 1992 to 1993
  • Chairman of Registration Committee from 1995 to 1996
  • Member of the Canadian Institute of Geomatics, International Right-of-Way Association, Alberta Association of Surface Land Agents
  • President and senior shareholder of McElhanney Land Surveys Ltd
  • Hobbies include golf, fishing, and most outdoor sports
