J.T. (Tom) Lockhart

J. Tom Lockhart was born in Bath, New Brunswick in 1948. He graduated from the University of New Brunswick in 1971 with a B.Sc. in surveying and followed that up with an MBA from the University of Western Ontario in 1975.

In 1975, he started his articles with Con Zarowny and earned his commission as an Alberta Land Surveyor on March 13, 1979.

His survey experience included engineering, legal, offshore and hydrographic, seismic, oil and gas, control, and geodetic surveys. He worked extensively in west Africa. Mr. Lockhart was also a professional engineer and member of APEGGA.

Since 1988, he has been engaged in GPS-based vehicle tracking. He is currently (as of 2005) president of, and partner in, Integrated Tracking Solutions Inc. of Calgary.

Mr. Lockhart has an active interest in aerobatics and flying.

He retired as an Alberta Land Surveyor in 1993.
