William Joseph (Bill) Walker was born in Edmonton in January 1945 and graduated from the city’s Archbishop O’Leary High School in 1961. He attended NAIT and received his diploma in 1970.

Upon graduation, he joined the Surveys & Mapping Department of the Government of Alberta where he articled to Ernie Tessari and George Moore and obtained his commission as an Alberta Land Surveyor on November 23, 1977. Bill Walker started working with Stewart, Weir in 1989 for two years before setting up his own private practice.

Bill Walker retired as an Alberta Land Surveyor in 2003.
