Commentary:
This altimeter is in a brass case with a glass crystal, It has a 1.5 diameter brass thumb screw sticking out of the top by 2 cm with a brass ring attached to it. There is a small swivel magnifying glass attached to the side. The dial has a needle that rotates around the circular face in accordance with the atmospheric pressure. The dial is graduated in inches of mercury from 23 to 31 inches and in altitude fom 0 to 8000 feet. On the face of the dial is: ” Surveying Aneroid Compensated” and block lettering: “E.R.WATTS & SON LONDON, ENG. OTTAWA & WINNIPEG”
