Commentary:

Brass altimeter with a glass cover. The instrument has a 1.5 diameter, brass, thumb screw sticking out of the top by 2 cm and a small swivel magnifying glass attached to the side. There is a brass ring attached to the housing holding the brass screw. There are various numerical dials and one needle that pivots from the centre of the instrument.

The script lettering indicates ” Surveying Aneroid Compensated” and the block lettering indicates “E.R.WATTS & SON LONDON, ENG. OTTAWA & WINNIPEG. ASCENT”
