Manual: 21.5 cm X 14 cm X 2 mm, bound and stapled, brown parchment cover with the words “American Paulin System, Altimetry Manual”, an unidentified symbol and the words: “A Useful treatise on the opperation and various uses of American Paulin System SURVEYING ALTIMETERS”
Pages are numbered 1 through to 23.

Altimeter: Aluminum, chrome and glass – 17.5 cm (diameter) X 9 cm (h) (including knobs).
Two chrome knobs and one bulls eye level bubble mounted on the top of the glass. On the dial are four circular scales graduated in feet, “MADE IN U.S.A. BY AMERICAN PAULIN SYSTEMS, LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA”, a symboL showing a micrometer holding the world overlayed with the words “SURVEYING MICRO ALTIMITER” and the words “MODEL M-2, 10,000 FEET, 2 – FEET”. The bottom of the aluminum case is inscribed with “NS1201K” we assume this to be the serial number.
