Commentary:
The DI10 was designed to attach to a Wild T2 Theodolite. It could also be used as a separate measuring system. The infrared beam is transmitted to the reflecting prism(s) and then returned to the DI10. The DI10 is connected to the Controller which contains the electronics, the readouts and an internal NiCd Battery.
Depending on the number of prisms used, distances of up to 1500 metres can be measured to centimetre accuracy.
It was used by Otto Glibrecht ALS while working for Canadian Engineering Surveys Ltd for wellsite, and pipeline surveys in Alberta up to 1982
