Commentary:
Sokkisha TTL5 Split Bubble Level SN “169466” in grey metal case. Mottled grey in color; barrel is approximately 23 cm in length and 5 cm in diameter. Level is mounted on an affixed rotatable tribrach, c/w a sliding sun shade. Various adjusting knobs, three foot screws and adjustable eye piece.
Mottled grey metal container consists of a metal base (approximately 29 cm X 15 cm) with four rubber feet. There are three clamps for holding the instrument in the case. A label is attached to the inside of the base indicating “NW Wade 10545 – 108 ST. EDMONTON 426-0410 Date MAR. 78 REP.???? CHECKED BY ?? (initials).
Base also has three small tool clips (no tools included).
Mottled grey cover (29 cm X 15 cm X 19 cm) has vinyl strap with two snap locks (one on either end). Cover is marked “WALKER NEWBY” (in black ink) on both sides and “169466” (in felt pen) on one side. Two labels are on the top “169466” and ” PROPERTY OF WALKER, NEWBY & ASSOCIATES LTD. EDMONTON ALBERTA”. Label inside of cover describes the instrument as “TILTING LEVEL TYPE V (and all of its specifications)”. The label is damaged and unreadable.
