Commentary:

Measured from the bottom center on the front side of the clinometer are two scales: one to the left and one one to the right each graduated from 0 to 100. The word topographic is at the end of the left side scale.

On the back are two similiar scales, except they are gradulated from 0 to 150 with the word percent at the end of the left side scale. These scales are partly covered by the square sighting scope which indicates the scale part of the clinometer can be reversed depending on the applicaton.

It was owned by Lloyd Willis P. Eng. and potentially used on the survey of the Alaska Highway in 1942.

Source of Object: Donated by Terry Willis.

Notes: The Society has only one Keuffel and Esser Co. clinometer in their collection.
