Commentary:
The HP3808A is described as a medium range (up to five or six miles) distance measuring instrument.
This EDm was owned by Brown Okamura & Associates Ltd.It was used from 1982 to around 1990 by the company for general surveying work throughout Southern Alberta and for the expansion of the Alberta Survey Control Network.
A charcoal colored tilting yoke is mounted under EDM with three feet for insertion into a tribrach, which affixes to the top of a tripod. The yoke consists of a folding metal carrying handle.
