Commentary:
The Red 2L can be mounted on the top of any Sokkisha theodolite.The operations manual specifies a range of 3,000 m with a single prism, 5,000 m with a triple. It uses an Infra LED wave to measure distances and has an accuracy of +/- (5mm+3ppm*D). The rechargeble batteries are inseted into the bottom of the instrument.
Other identification on the Red 2L: on the bottom “D70143 SOKKISHA MADE IN JAPAN” and on the back of the function keyboard at the top of the EDM “SOKKISHA SF2 NO 100623 MADE IN JAPAN.”
