Commentary:

This grey metal level is a split bubble level approximately 23 cm in length including eyepiece and lens cover X 10 cm (w) including knobs and round base X 12 cm (h) including top sights and tribrach base.
Level is mounted on an affixed rotatable tribrach and comes with a folding sun shade (opened with the nail inserted in the lower right hole in the flippable sunshade to release it), three black adjusting knobs, three foot screws, an adjustable eye piece, a tilting mirror (for adjusting the amount of light on the split bubble) and a circular bubble.

The grey metal case consists of two parts that are connected by two metal hinges on the back and two snap clamps on the front. It has three rubber feet (one missing) and one neoprene strap that is held by two swivel metal anchors bolted to the case.

A metal label is attached to the inside of the top of the case indicating “Level Model T2 No. 186274 Specification Assortment TOKOYO KOGAKU KIKAI K.K.” Specifications and Assortments are listed under each category.

There is a paper instrument service label attached to the inside top of the case indicating “Calgary Instrument Technical Service Ltd. 26-1-73” There are hand-written comments. The case has inserts and metal blocks with green felt lining for holding the instrument. The case contains metal clips for holding a brush, a screwdriver, an adjustment pin and a nail for releasing the folding sun shade.
