Commentary:
This Keuffel & Esser tilting level has a 360 degree horizontal scale and a partial vertical scale enabling the level telescope to be set on a grade (slope). Inside the wooden box on the lid is a label which includes the words “No. 5155: which may be the model number and the serial number 91426.
