- Accessories: On the back of the computer there are four module slots. The top slot has “82936 A ROM DRAWER” module and the second slot has “82903 A 16K MEMORY MODULE”, an on/off switch, and a 110 volt three pronged plug for the electrical cord.
- Condition: The computer is in good condition but the keyboard is missing a key top for “3”.
Commentary:
HP-85 Computer, Serial No. 2023A08897 with two modules: 1) “82936 A ROM DRAWER” and 2) “82903 A 16K MEMORY MODULE”.
This computer is a programmable calculator to execute the required computations.
The computer has a tan plastic case and is 49 cm (l) including the modules X 42 cm (w) X 16 cm (h). It has a QWERTY alphabet and numeric keyboard as well as a top row of function keys, to operate the machine. These keys are tan, brown, orange and yellow . A paper roll (included in the slot is11 cm wide) is fed through the printer head. There is a slot for the magnetic tape cartridges in the front of the machine. On the left front there is a display screen and a metallic label “HEWLETT-PACKARD 85” as well as a power light.
