The HP-33E iwas introduced in 1978, the same year as the HP31E. It had trigonometric and other functions used by surveyors. Unlike the HP31E it was programable. A limitation of the “E” model was that it had conventional memory which lost its contents when power was turned off.
This pocket computer was used for land survey work in Alberta by Kinloch Underwood Associates Ltd.
