  • Accessories: Orange carrying case, 120-volt battery charger, 12-volt battery charger that plug into a vehicle cigarette lighter, two RED2 plastic rechargeable batteries (model # BDC11).
  • Condition: Fair

Commentary:

The Red2 uses an Infra-red light beam to measure distances and has an accuracy of +/- (5mm+5ppm*D). With a single prism it can measure up to 2,000m, with a triple prism up to 3,000m and with nine prisms up to 5,000m under good conditions. It is lighter and more versitile than the Red 1.

This EDM was used bt Can-Am Surveys Ltd. for survey work in Alberta

Two other numbers appear on the EDM. On top of the EDM: “SOKKISHA SF2  NO 211261 MADE IN JAPAN” and on the control face on back of EDM is shown “SOKKISHA 21620 RED2”

There is no manual with this EDM, however a manual is included with another Red 2 in the collection ALSA 2022.02.05.
