Commentary:
The Tellurometer MRA5 was built to demanding British Army specifications. A feature of the MRA 5 was that the antenna could be connected either to the front of the control unit, the top of the control unit, a tripod, or using a long cable to an adaptor at the top of a mast up to 25m from the control unit.
The diagram in the top image shows the antenna mounted on the top of a tripod. The bottom mage shows the adopter for attaching the antenna, a long cable for connecting the antenna to the control unit, cables for attaching a 12 volt car battery to the control unit, and headphones.
This pair of tellurometers was used by the Alberta Director of Surveys for control surveys in Alberta.
