Commentary:
Wooden plane table with canvas bag. c/w tripod ALSA 2010.06.02. The dimensions are 38 cm X 38 cm X 1.5 cm thick. The plane table has four brass thumb nuts at the corners to hold paper. It has a chromed needle trough compass (9.5 cm X 1.5 cm X 1.5 high) located on the top along one of the sides. The bottom of the table has a brass 7.5 cm diameter mounting plate which affixes to the tripod. The bottom is stamped into the varnished wood “5200B, 446, 44 – 78”, a small stamped logo below the plate.
The canvas bag is 43 cm X 39 cm and has a 18 cm long canvas flap. This flap has leather straps joined by a metal buckle. The back of the bag has a canvas shoulder strap 123 cm X 5 cm attached by four rivets and two chromed adjusting slides.
