Commentary:
Tripod for plane table, ALSA 2010.06.03. Wooden tripod, 132 cm long and 10 cm in diameter at the top. The three rigid legs are affixed to the brass base plate (7.5 cm diameter) by three threaded bolts with thumb screws. Plane table is affixed to the tripod by a single thumb screw through the centre of the base plate. The end of each leg has a brass pointed tip. There is a broken leather strap attached to one of the legs.
