Commentary:

Stereoscope (no serial number), in a green wooden box. With legs extended – 61 cm (l) X 23 cm (w) X 22 cm (h). Body is black cast metal. It has four folding metal legs with one being adjustable, two plastic “D” handles, two glass prism eye pieces, two mirrors, two simulated leather mirror covers and two stainless steel mounting pins for top mounting binoculars.

Green wooden box is 48.5 cm (l) X 14 cm (w) X 17 cm (h) with the top closed. It has a simulated leather “D” handle mounted on the top of the box by two chromed fasteners. The front of the two-piece box is latched by two, two-part metal swivel clamps. The back of the box is hinged by two metal hinges. The top of the box has a label on it describing various companies along with their names, addresses and phone numbers. Inside the box are various black felt padded blocks in both the top and bottom for securing the instrument. A “WARNING” label is affixed in the inside top of the box. Inside the top of the box is marked in pencil “Can. Dept of Agri”.
