Commentary:
Theodolite, Cooke, Troughton & Simms ALSA 2006.21.01 with a double motion horizontal angle plate; and a single motion vertical angle plate. Each plate has two verniers 180 degrees from each other with attached magnifying glasses. It has three base plate leveling screws at the base which screws onto a tripod.
Marked on the theodolite is “COOKE, TROUGHTON & SIMMS LTD. YORK, ENGLAND”.
