Commentary:

The HP 85 was introduced in 1980. It was a small, low-cost, fully integrated computer with built-in six-inch CRT display, tape drive and thermal printer. It had a storage capacity of 210K and came with 16K RAM. The 82935A ROM Drawer is a ROM expansion unit that enabled the addition  of up to four additional ROM modules to extend the system capabilities. The 82903A 16K Memory Module increased the available RAM by 16K to a total of 36K.

The computer was used by Dennis Woodhead ALS for calculations for surveys in Alberta.

It is in good condition, but the keyboard is missing a key top for “3”.

Source of Object: Donated by Jason Woodhead.

Notes: See ALSA 2010.03.02 for the manual for this computer.
