Commentary:
This Hilger and Watts theodolite has a metal silver colored label on it etched “ ST1456-4, 192994, HILGER & WATTS, MADE IN ENGLAND.
One side of the body of the instrument has a metal tag inscribed “HILGER & WATTS ST156- 4192994 MADE IN ENGLAND”.
The instrument case is 34 cm (l) X 18 cm (h) X 20 cm (w). There is a “Calgary Instrument Technical Service Ltd.” Label in the case with a servicing date 5.8.71. There also two metal tags, attached to the bottom of the case “U.S.A. DISTRIBUTERS DIETZEGN EUGENE DIETZGEN Co” ” HILGER & WATTS LTD. 98 ST. & PANCRAS WAY, LONDON, ENGLAND”.
