There are no markings on this sidereal watch. The case for the watch is inscribed B.M. Rustad, ALS. He was an honorary life member of the Alberta Land Surveyors’ Association.

It has a 24-hour face with an hour and minute hand as well as a sweep second hand. It is wound by a ratcheting thumb knob. There is a padded wooden case to hold the chronometer. It is a varnished wooden box 4 3/4 (12.1 cm) square by 2″ (5.1cm) high. It has a 1 3/4 (4.5cm) diameter glass window on the top of the box to view the chronometer face. It is hinged on one side with a slide lock catch. A brass tag is screwed to the top front below the circular glass window.
