Commentary:
According to one source “Scribd,Inc:” the name of this EDM is Distomat LEICA DI1600, it was produced from 1989 to 2001 and it has an accuracy of 3mm + 5ppm and a range of 2500m.
The front has two lenses for sending and receiving the signal. The right side has a plug in port for a data collector. The left side has black lettering “DISTOMAT WILD DI1600 MADE IN SWITZERLAND”. The top of the instrument has a black peep sight, four press buttons (with descriptors for operating the instrument) and raised lettering “WILD HEERBRUGG.” The bottom has a black plate that encompasses a power connector and clips to secure the instrument to a theodolite. The serial number 80792 is on this plate.
The counterbalance is also light green in color and is attached to the bottom of the EDM. The total height of the EDM including the counter weight is 17 cm.
The instrument come is a orange case. The words “WILD LEITZ”are imprinted on two sides of the case.
