Commentary:
This split bubble Level was manufactured by Cooke, Troughton & Simms Ltd. of York, England. Marked on the foot screw base is: “Made for The HUGHES OWENS Co. Ltd. CANADA”. The serial number is marked as “S041193” and the “Patent No. 242468” is marked above it.
The level comes in a wooden box with accesories. Hand etched on a holding bracket in the box is “Alberta Transportation A.S.C. 3048”.
The level has a wooden fixed leg tripod with the Object ID ALSA 2006.05.02.
