Commentary:

Tape, 1/8″ metal tape with estimated length of 200 feet. It is marked “The Lufkin Rule Co. of Canada Ltd. Barrie Ont.”  Marked on the wooden storage reel in Dymo tape.is “ALS Standard Tape No. 1.”  

A somewhat similar looking Chesterman tape is in the 1907 – T. Cooke and Sons catalogue, page 44.   A similar one is also in the 1910 E.R. – Watts and Son Catalogue, page 75.
