Commentary:
The plastic instrument case is orange in color and is 37 cm (l) X 25 (w) X 21 (h) and is comprised of two pieces. The cover is hinged to the base by two chromed hinges on the back and latched on the front by two chromed flip clamps. There are three chromed strap anchors and one nylon strap (3.5 cm wide X 78 cm long) on the case. There are two oval stick-on labels “WIRTANEN ELECTRIC EDMONTON, ALBERTA” and a “W’ symbol with a lightening bolt through it, a Dymo plastic label “IW 3216” and a metallic label indicating “Sokkisha MADE IN JAPAN THEODOLITE TM20C”. The inside of the case is lined with molded high density foam for holding the transit and acessories in place. There is a white (with black lettering) label providing the specifications of the instrument.

The instrument (including the tribrach) is 28 cm (h) X 16 cm (w) X 16 (d), the telescope is 17 cm long. The instrument has two smaller labels “WIRTANEN ELECTRIC EDMONTON, ALBERTA” and a “W’ symbol with a lightening bolt through it, on each side of it. A metal label is also affixed to one of the sides and is described as “SOKKISHA TM20C MADE IN JAPAN” , and the serial number “20075” below it. there is a second label on the other side indicates “SOKKISHA”.
